The Cannabis Regulation, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization (CREAMM) Act of New Jersey permits citizens 21 years of age and older to lawfully purchase and use cannabis concentrates in NJ and cannabis-related items. The cannabis industry in the state for recreational (or "adult-use") purposes is established by the recently implemented NJ-CRC guidelines.
Does cannabis mean marijuana?
Indeed. The cannabis plant's flower, as well as the psychoactive compounds derived from it, go by many names, including marijuana, reefer, Mary Jane, broccoli, and others. Although the term "marijuana" is also frequently used to refer to cannabis, New Jersey law distinguishes between the two. In summary, marijuana refers to the uncontrolled form of the plant, whereas cannabis refers to the regulated version, which is what is grown, purchased, and sold by New Jersey state-licensed cannabis enterprises, including products like cannabis budder NJ.
